Women Evolve....

GM,
Do any of you ladies follow Sarah Jakes Roberts? She is definitely on 🔥. There are many blogs, podcasts and other vehicles where women are encouraging and uplifting one another. This is something we need, desperately! Once upon a time I wondered if it would always take A Million Women March, Women’s March on Washington or Black Girls Rock Annual Award Show for us to be kind to each other and offer support. Trust me the energy is different from an everyday encounter. One thing for certain and two for sure, we are a special breed. It doesn’t matter your background or race because more times than not we experience some of the same challenges. Although, we might address them differently doesn’t mean the pain isn’t real. Yes, African American women and other minorities, perhaps, appear to always come up against obstacles and fight prejudices on a regular basis. I encourage you to find a medium that works for you. Maybe, a mentor or something like #womenevolve that will uplift you and provide balance when everything else seem so chaotic. Although, it may seem impossible find a moment to yourself where you can breathe and focus on healing. We carry a heavy load and our backs can only stand so much weight. So, take time at being better for yourself so you can be better to others. I remember reading a book “This Bridge Called My Back” by The Radical Women of Color and found it enlightening and it was obvious no matter your color women are strong and resilient. Be encouraged my Sisterfriend.
